A new release of dswifi is now available. 0.3.3 has a fix for the channel switching problem on the latest dswifi hardware and DHCP code which should be slightly more forgiving of routers which aren’t quite in spec. As always the release is available from the devkitPro updater and directly from sourceforge.

The Independent Games Festival organisers recently announced a new competition that might be of interest to devkitPro toolchain users. The IGF has been running a competion for independent game developers since 1998 and this year they’ve decided to start a new competition for mobile games. There are some great prizes up for grabs.

• Innovation In Augmented Design* - Presented by Nvidia ($2,000)
• Achievement In Art ($2,000)
• Technical Achievement ($2,000)
• Audio Achievement ($2,000)

* The ‘Augmented Design’ award goes to a game that best uses an aspect of mobile phone technology, such as GPS, camera, motion-sensing, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or other special mobile-centric features in gameplay.
